## MosquitOFF

- A public-health platform that predicts where the Aedes aegypti mosquito (vector of dengue, Zika, chikungunya and yellow fever) is likely to multiply.
- Inputs: NASA satellite data (precipitation, soil moisture, temperature), population density from Paraguay's 2022 national census (INE), and epidemiologically validated models of mosquito behaviour.

- Adoption: the Municipality of Yguazú announced it in August 2026, working with SENEPA (Paraguay's national vector control service) and local hospitals and health posts. A hyper-local Yguazú version was built with the municipal Environment Directorate and uses the sub-neighbourhood names residents use. Suspected dengue cases reported at health posts feed the system in real time. Marcos donated his time. His team trains health-post staff, teachers and public employees.
